Big Dog Sports League was founded on the premise that Houma did not provide adults with a combined social and sport outlet. BDSL brings together adults who want to have fun through a variety of social events, volunteer opportunities and adult sports leagues in the Houma-Thibodaux area. Our goal is to make sure participants get the most out of the best sports and social league in town.

After more than 20 years of combined playing at local and national levels, and in several sports, our founders know firsthand the value of friendships made through sports—friendships that have lasted longer than any memory of games won or lost. BDSL members are encouraged not to take winning or losing too seriously; they know that the social aspects of the league are more important than a win or a loss. Life is short, don’t miss it!

We currently offer co-ed leagues for Dodgeball, Kickball, Volleyball, Softball and Flag Football. We are working together to add more sports in order to give our players the most opportunities possible. League games are played at local parks, recreation facilities and gymnasiums in the Houma-Thibodaux area, so grab a group of friends and get in the action!

We at BDSL also believe in giving back to the community. Big Dog Sports is looking to partner with local charitable organizations to build and promote new and established charitable events.
